How to get

The Center for Energy, Environmental and Technological Research (CIEMAT), located in the heart of the University City of Madrid, extends over land of approximately 20 hectares. Its 71,000 m2 built houses the headquarters of CIEMAT and the vast majority of its human and material resources.

  • CIEMAT has its own free parking.
  • From Moncloa: Arco de la Victoria, Av. Arco de la Victoria (A6), Plaza de Cardenal Cisneros and Av. Complutense.
  • From the M-30: exit Sinesio Delgado, direction Ciudad Universitaria-CIEMAT.
  • From the Barajas Airport: 12 km from the city center. Map

Public transport in Madrid

You can buy different types of metro and bus tickets, you can find a wide information on how to get to any point of Madrid by public transport and information about ticket prices.

By Bus

      • Line 82. Stop at Paraninfo-CIEMAT. This is the best way to get to CIEMAT from Moncloa. The starting point of the bus line is in Meléndez Valdés, 72.
      • The lines F (Departure from Cuatro Caminos), G and U (Departure from Moncloa), All with stop by Paraninfo-Telecommunications.

By Metro

    • From Barajas airport, line 8, «Barajas-Aeropuerto.» Please note that there are two stops: one for terminals T1-T2 and T3 and another for T4.Make sure your terminals T1, T2 , T3 and T4 are also connected through the transfer service.
      To get from the airport to CIEMAT, use line 8, until «Nuevos Ministerios», and then change to line 6, direction «Ciudad Universitaria.
    • From the University City Metro Station. Line 6, once you arrive at the Ciudad Universitaria metro station, follow the itinerary set to reach CIEMAT.
